Well now, where do I begin this week. All started well and then a call from the solicitors about the unregistered triangle at front gate. A quick discussion with Father In Law and off he went to his filing boxes - Trevor came up trumps in his searching and found maps dating back to 1984 which proved to us that he owned the disputed triangle so off I went running back to solicitor, who put dampers on it by saying it didn't prove anything. But after a further chat agreed to talk to Head Solicitor and ring me with outcome. We heard nothing until Tuesday lunchtime(meanwhile had to inform builder money was a problem!), the call came and we had to rush to Ards and sign for mortgage, all now back on track - hoorah! Meanwhile whilst this was going on bricklayers were working full steam ahead. By end of week house now up to first floor level and I assume more bison slabs will be arriving before long. Then Friday afternoon solicitor rang again this time Northern Bank had been in touch and they wouldn't be releasing money until they get copy of Site Insurance - what next, builder expecting paid next week!!! and another stumbling block - luckily Cheryl got in touch with mortgage advisor who confirmed all necessary documents had been sent to Head Office, 2 weeks ago - but they were sent again and by 2 o'clock the panic was over.
Got home Friday and guess what - first invoice in hall. Have a great weekend and come back next week for update.
